Mooovin’ and Grooovin’

$3,890

Moovin’ and Groovin’  measures 1200 x 1200mm and is acrylic on canvas.  Inspired by the Highland Cattle, also known by the Scots as the “Heilan Coo”,  this breed is arguably Scotland’s most famous resident!  Known for their beautiful shaggy coats and long horns, the highland cow has quite the reputation.  They have grazed the rugged highlands since the sixth century and have seen a lot of history.  The hair or “bands” on their forehead are often called a “dossan” and cover their eyes – giving them an air of mystery.  Their double coat of hair is the longest of any breed and the oily outer coat protects from wind and water .  It’s the perfect overcoat for those wild Scottish Highland winters.  While this collection is our Happy Herd Collection, Highland Cows in a group are called a “fold”, which comes from the stone shelters built to protect them in the winter.  Painting is 1200 x 1200, painted by award winning Australian artist, Mark Lobert.  It is acrylic on canvas and will look spectacular in any room it graces!  Available to order – each painting created individually so slight variations will exist in your unique and individually created work of art.
